In a bid to make the app more accessible from desktops, you can now sign up to Instagram online directly from your computer browser. The option recently appeared and very little to no coverage has been done about this feature.

This is further evidence that Instagram is on the path to make its website a platform on its own. This will encourage more sign ups and more importantly, big brands and businesses to take Instagram seriously.

As soon as you open Instagram’s website, the default page is a sign up page. The next major step is offering businesses’ access to their insights on the website from a desktop.
