How to Create Captivating Picture Quotes for Instagram

Instagram is one of the fastest growing social networks, with hundreds of images shared across the network daily. You can leverage this to promote your business by creating stunning images with quotes relevant to your industry. People will be more likely to share your images, and so you will get more eyes on your business. Here’s how.

Finding Good Quotes

First, you need a good quote to share that is inspirational or points out a hard truth in life that not many people accept. You can find lots of these types of sayings on Quoteslogy, which categorizes quotes into topics. Browse around and find the quote that inspires you the most. Once you have the perfect quote in mind, check out these apps to get the design just right.

Template Tools

Recite.com is a service that gives you a variety of ready-made templates to plug in your quote so you can get to sharing. Just copy and paste the quote you want to use the box on the site and select the pre-made template you want to use, and you will have a shareable motivational quote in no time.

If you would prefer to create your motivational images using an app on your phone, be sure to check out ImageQuote. It is available on iOS & Android and comes with a variety of pre-set templates that allow for uploading your image and selecting from a variety of fonts.

Other Tips & Tricks

Keep these tips & tricks in mind when you are creating your images to get the most shares and views on Instagram.

  1. Pick motivational or inspirational quotes with which people can identify. Choosing the right quote makes people more likely to share or view your content.
  2. Pick a font that is readable even if the image has not been zoomed. People scrolling through their feeds are more likely to interact with things they can read without having to click into the post.
  3. Try not to share too frequently. Inspirational sayings can be a great way to generate more interest in your content on Instagram, but no one likes a spammer. Keep this in mind when you are planning your posts.
  4. Most free apps like ImageQuote apply a watermark to your final image. If you would prefer not to advertise which service you used to create your photos, you will have to upgrade to the paid version.

Instagram is a great way to connect with an audience through visual content. Don’t waste that opportunity. Apply the best techniques and best practices to make the most of this amazing medium.
